On behalf of the Search Committee, I am pleased to announce that KSU has named three
finalist candidates in the search for the next dean of the Bagwell College of Education
(BCOE). The Candidates will meet with various KSU constituencies through virtual interviews.
Virtual Campus Open Forums will be live streamed by each candidate with a presentation

Adrian Epps, Ed.D
Dr. Epps serves the community broadly and is influential in the educational arena
on the national and state level. He was appointed to the The CollegeBoards’ national
Academic Assembly Council in 2016. This Council addresses issues related to curriculum,
assessment, the governance structure of schools and sustained professional development
for The CollegeBoard academic programs. Presently, he is the Chair-Elect of the committee
and will rotate onto the Board of Directors of The CollegeBoard in 2021.
Juliet Langman, Ph.D
Juliet Langman is Interim Dean and Associate Dean of Graduate Studies in the College
of Education and Human Development and Professor of Applied Linguistics in the Department
of Bicultural-Bilingual Studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA).
She received her B.S. degree (1980) in French from Georgetown University, her M.A.
in Linguistics (1987) from Stanford University and her Ph. D. (1989) in Language,
Literacy and Culture from Stanford University. As a leader, she focuses on collaborative
decision-making, strategic student-centered growth in graduate education, and bold
visioning for partnerships to improve K-12 teaching and teacher preparation.
Tachelle Banks, Ph.D
Associate Vice Provost for Academic Innovation & Initiatives at Cleveland State University,
the Associate Dean for Faculty & External Affairs, and Professor of Special Education
in the College of Education, Health and Human Services. Dr. Banks has been an Assistant
Professor of Special Education at the Ashland University and also taught at the Kent
State University. Prior to entering academia Tachelle taught children and youth identified
as having severe emotional and behavior disorders for 7 years in an urban educational
setting.
